The phone company was going to bill us for a buried cable we hauled up with the plow about 10 years ago. The line wasn't actually buried at all; just laying on top of the ground. Lucky it never got wound in the discbine...
We just laughed. Simply told them it's your problem since it's supposed to be either below the plow layer OR over 14'...
That was the last we heard about it.
