Subject: Had an uncle that when he and my dad were real young

Panhandle of Ne.
walked by an abandoned car, the gas cap had been off for years, uncle threw a match in tank, tank blew up in his face and he carried the scars to his grave some 60 years later. I have welded on an L shaped pickup tank that had a pin hole in it, but filled with water first. Sure did "pucker up" when I struck the first arc though!! As one other poster said, our local machine shop will run a flex pipe from their forklift exhaust and let it run for several hours and then weld and cut on tanks. Be careful.
