| You lose some beeswings and red dog from handling Coup, I ran elevators for 13 years and in a year like this screenings are not worth much. If I lived in MI I would have a dryer but here I don't think I can justify it I can normally sell up to 18% corn with no shrink or discount which is typically where our corn comes out of the field here. You don't want to fill your bins with light test weight 7% f.m. corn. Was not saying I will be ahead not having a dryer this year but over long haul hard to make it work. Hand shelled some at 23%, Hopefully by the time I get the feed mill corn shelled it will be dry enough to dry at home without inviting disaster. Agree with you on the tile, bought a plow and would like to get it going this fall. | |
