| You say the shrink is a rip off, what are all the beeswings and screenings you have to get rid of in a year like this, you will have some handling loss. I just sold some corn to a feed mill yesterday, he gave me twenty over the december for the corn 26% corn will cost me 25 cents plus 1.4% shrink per point I thought this was very fair and beats the crap out of waiting around for my bin dryer which I have not used for 13 years due to having dry enough corn coming out of the field to fan dry (plan on using it but will keep going while waiting). If you figure the opportunity costs of having a $75.000 dyer around for all the years we did not need it I'm not so sure that taking a few lumps this year will be the worst thing for me in the long run. | |
