West Union, Illinois
We have been stiffed on a couple and only had a $50 donation on several others.
Money should not be a factor.  The family should not be expected to donate ANYTHING! This is an act of service to a grieving family. If that is the expectation of the church, the church either needs a revival or closed.  (Sorry if that seems strong, but that hit a nerve)
Noone to work them as everyone but a few retires work and most of them have part time jobs. Sad thing! Funeral director said just let the family hire a caterer.
That is getting to be more and more of a problem. If it is organized and handled well there shouldn't be a need for more than 4-5 people to do the set up, serving, and clean up.
