| Most auctions have a clause in them that says the sellers have the right to reject any or all bids.
Even at a public auction, the seller does not have to take the top bid. I have seen that happen where there is "Bad Blood" and the auction gets "no saled" and a lower bid ends up getting accepted.
Bottom line is that if the sellers wanted the second place guy to own their land, he would own it.
Move on and find something else. | |
