Having never lived in a house with a wood burning fire place, what are the pros and cons of having one in between the living area and the kitchen (2 sided)? Will they create a lot of dirt and soot in the house? Will they loose a bunch of heat when not in use? Do they put off a sizable amount of heat? Thanks in advance..
