East of Broken Bow | The problem with Obamacare, is that it did nothing to address rising costs, waste, etc, etc.
All it really did, was allow for the government to subsidize the average person's insurance, at whatever cost it was going to cost. It actually caused the rates to go up, because it required people to have insurance that covered 'everything', even if it were things those people would never need.
This is the absolute truth, my insruance covers PAP smears for me, and Prostate exams for my wife. Chances are, if we were able to get just what we wanted, we would opt out of paying for those coverages. The insurance companies who helped write the bill are doing good, because they get paid to underwrite things they will never have to pay for. | |
