NO. This ^^^^^ is why truck clutches get effed up. ALWAYS adjust release bearing gap first, then brake squeeze. The clearance between the release bearing and the input shaft bearing holder has to be correct for the clutch to work properly. Guys that screw with the linkage without adjusting the clutch create grabby clutches that eventually self-destruct.
