We use Exapta's Thompson wheels on ours and plant corn,beans and milo with them and never had any trouble with them pulling seeds out. A seed firmer definitely helps with spoked wheels IMHO. Had a smaller field of conventional tilled corn, backed the spring pressure off some and they worked fine.
