Altoona, WI | Grew up on a dairy farm and have also worked in factories. No way in hell, on average, are dairy farmers putting in more time than a full time factory worker. Just because they are up at 5 am and get done with evening chores at 6 or 7 does NOT mean they are actively working that whole time. Yes, there are times of the year when they are putting in long days. But there are also times of the year when milking and chores are the extent of it and lots of naps taken as well. | |
