It generally takes several generations for immigrants to fully assimilate. They have always faced the kind of racism and discrimination you just expressed….unless they immigrated from England. The victim card seems to be constantly played by the conservatives. You’ve got anti maskers going off on officials at school board meetings, attacking workers in restaurants. We lived through an insurrection on the nation’s capital, the tea party loons crying about losing their country. It’s really quite pathetic.
