Wheelersburg and Lancaster, Ohio | Torque and horsepower are the same thing. Two motors with the same hp the one that makes that power at a lower Rpm will have more torque. I can’t remember the formula to calculate one if you have the other and rpm. Power is power. the motor with low end power, more torque, is usually more user friendly.
Crunching the numbers confirms the usefulness of low end power like olwhda says about his motor.
455hp times 5252 divided buy 1850. Gives you about 1300 rpm. A motor with that much power at that low rpm would be a joy to drive.
