So the picture I showed from the Steiger manual, using a 1/2" round bolt to judge the distance between the rear of the clutch release bearing and the clutch brake disc.

Did you do that ? Do you have 1/2" distance there? If you have more than that, the clutch needs internal adjustment yet.

If you have 1/2" and it still don't work, its linkage or malfunctioning hyd master/slave problems.

Troubleshooting 101

I had greater than 1/2” so I rotated the clutch clockwise to decrease the distance. Should I have rotated it counterclockwise instead? Because the clutch brake has wear on it, I have been using clutch brake shims.
