| 90% on a number 8 mesh screen is required in missouri to be considered ag lime. Fineness factor is important here because we do not have the depth of soil as some states. If it doesn't pass the fineness test it's considered waste with no numbers to be added to the lime in regards to ag use and sales. They have done experiments in missouri and find its many years to break down coarse lime then when it starts it will over load the soil and have a negative affect. | |
