Wisconsin | If your quarter is uniform across, and the same soil as all the sections surrounding it, then I don't see the point in grid sampling and variable rate. What are you aiming for? alfalfa wants 6.5 or so, but you don't need to get that high for most other crops. If your field is much more variable soil and you're aiming for right at 7, then you'd want grid and variable rate. but if you're aiming for 6.2 and the field is uniform, then you're probably not going to have any areas get over 7 with a composite test and a straight rate.
