I remember my dad wanted to do some fall spraying and when he was at the coop there happened to be a Monsanto salesman there who wanted my dad to try Roundup since it was new. I still remember the cost per acre was $8 and my dad's reply was that his dad didn't pay that much per acre to buy the entire section in 1937. He didn't buy Roundup.
