That isn't entirely true . . . . Cat produces some of their excavators in their Illinois facility. Yes, they do produce the rest in Japan and have a line in China also. One has to be careful of what is spread around on the "net". Mainly used to disparage one line of thought over another . . . . . . I'm glad others have posted/pointed out that there are international companies locating manufacturing and production facilities here in the US. What really is needed is full manufacturing - not just assembly points for parts manufactured in other regions around the world. |
