Cambridge, southwestern Nebraska | I’ll admit I’m not real mechanical. I can do the regular service and etc. Probably figure out what is wrong with something. My problem is thinking of the right steps to take something apart then put it back together in the order it is supposed to be. Plus, a good mechanic can work on something in a third of the time it would take me to do some jobs and I probably wouldn’t know all the tricks to do it right.
I’ve resigned to the fact that I’m not a mechanic so I’m usually pretty quick to call one. Seems that is a no no to a lot of farmers but I don’t feel I have to be a jack of all trades. I know some mechanics that have no idea how to farm so I don’t feel so bad not knowing how to be a mechanic. |
