Most if nut all of the 7/16 bolts/nuts I’ve used are 5/8” bolt head and 11/16” nut. Inconvenient yes, but easy enough to remember. I’ve used 15-18mm and possibly 19mm on 10mm bolts before, then throw in 2-3 thread pitches for extra fun when you loose a nut or bolt and have to come up with a replacement.
Why metric?
