Subject: RE: Using cast iron cookware

Central, IA
I make eggs and sausage in a cast pan every morning. I just wash it out with water and a scrub brush. I then leave it on the stove to dry. Soap will strip off the seasoning. The next morning I add a little bit of olive oil before I use them.

I was using a non stick pan up until a couple months ago when I got this one out for a camping trip. The cast actually sticks less than the pampered chef non stick.
