Southeast WI | Run complete starter in the 2x2, make sure you have plenty of sulfur as the young plants need that in the early stages in pure no-till. And check the coulters are a true 2" off to the side of the row - I usually drop my planter on the driveway and adjust them where they want to travel. Even though my plots don't show it I still like 1/3 of my N on the planter so I don't have to sidedress so much. N alone as "starter" makes corn green as the other treatments but some reason never translates to yield. I don't understand that. More going on than visual symptoms. | |
