N. IL | We run a mounted knife bar on 30" centers applying 150 units of NH3.
I asked about the coulter units in the past, and was always told that I could not seal that much product at the shallow depth of the coulter unit. Depth is the benefit of the knife. Yetter and Dawn reps were trying to get me to run a lower rate of product in order to use their system. We run silty clay, silt, and muck soils with NH3. I would have a hard time getting a coulter to run in that range of conditions. There aren't many coulter bars in this area. | |
