Central South Dakota | Mexico matters, the man has obligations due that he can't pay, but that same money can be spent on a vacation and play time for his family, BS. If the OP is like me, that $5k may be more than he pays himself in a month. Maybe to the OP than $5k was his mortgage payment on his house for the year, groceries for his family, a vacation they can't take because they don't have the funds now, Christmas presents for the family, etc.
People like you that say the Mexico vacation don't matter are part of the problem. Your problems have a way of becoming someone else's problems all the time instead of dealing with the repercussions of the choice's that you made.
I agree with your assessment to keep it off Facebook, send notice with interest, and if that don't get his attention the OP needs to take him to small claims court because if he doesn't show up to defend himself, the judgement is likely to go in the OP's favor if he properly presents his case, and then he has the judgment of the court to back his claim. | |
