| Just started this year. Granted, I help the neighbor during spring and fall, so he let me borrow a drill. But I used our old 706 to disc up our old 7 acre pasture and plant beans. I just recently bought a 4430 for dirt cheap and painting it up to sell. Likely will sell it and get a bigger tractor and do custom work for the neighbor to pay for it until I can get more farm ground. Grandma has 230 acres she's only renting to "family"... you can connect the dots there... eventually I'll farm some of that when she passes. I'm fairly confident I'll never get to the point of where I want to be, since I didn't win the sperm lottery like most farmers. But I'd be happy doing 200ish acres as a hobby. | |
