West Tennessee | Not sure if this counts as what you're asking. Dad and I started with nothing in about 1994. We barely had a set of hand tools between us. We bought out a retiring farmer's equipment to get us started. We still have one of the 4230's we bought from him but everything else has been traded or sold. At first we only had a few hundred acres that we had bought or rented. Dad did a lot of the work during the day by himself (he had recently retired) for years and I helped whenever I could during the day and nights and weekends. We could not have done it the way we did without each others help for sure so maybe that's not the kind of response you're looking for. I'm still proud looking back that we did it and were able to make it. There were sure some tough times but we made it work. | |
