If your not scared of an overhaul why would you care if it spins a bearing. In all used equipment there is always a risk of component failure but if you can predict that by looking at it clay please share your secret. It seems your really on trakman about the word "destroyed " let it go I hardly believe he meant it literally it was just a metaphor for junk or trashed
