I'm skeptical about the hours. The meter may have been changed. The Murphy gauges are an indication that it may have come from a large farm, maybe a vegetable operation with lots of poorly skilled hired help. You would install a Murphy switch just in case someone wasn't paying attention to the dashboard info. The tracks look pretty worn as well.
