Shortage of farmers or the average age of farmers are getting older is the biggest myth in ag. I heard the same thing 30 years ago when I started farming and the same lie is still around today. The "journalists" that write this nonsense still don't believe in dynamic economics.


By every single measurable statistic we have farmers are very old. This is by farm and by acreage farmers are very old. Not a shortage of farmers for the land per say but as a whole most farmers are very old and not many kids are jumping in to take over.
