Maryland | Now that harvest is a good bit finished, I was curious if there are any stories of guys that have been hired and end up costing way more than they get paid (damage to equipment). My number one cost is a guy that works for free and can't seem to quit running snouts on the corn head in the ground. That guy is my father who ran the farm before I took over 15 years ago. Combine has auto header height and auto tilt. How is it possible? Only took him 15 acres this year before he got one. Last year on one farm, he got in and before he made it half way down the field, he bent one. I put a new one on, he didn't make it to the end before he got the same one! Good help is hard to find. | |
