But not just ag, the government should not be meddling in any part of the economy. I am a firm believer that free markets and free trade (as free as can be negotiated) would result in net gains for the economy.
There for sure shouldn't be arguing that some industries should get subsidies while others do not, I don't see the gov subsidizing a major demand product that uses beef:.. so the whole farm bill needs to go and let farmers produce what consumers want, not what the government wants. | |
