Subject: RE: Questions?

Death comes to us all. Life's but a walking shadow
How much of the 4.2 million fewer wheat acres went into true fallow? How much is available for either corn or beans? How much acres has gone back into hay due to the larger cow herd, I'd guess some, I know some fellows here in NY have made seedings each of the past two years and are selling more hay.
How many acres won't get planted to corn because of the lack of money to plant the more expensive crop? I would guess some acres because we saw that last year and the numbers aren't any better or different this coming year. The simple fact is, net farm income is down again this year and the lack of money will constrain some producers. If you want to hold on to ground but not spend too much money, beans are the way to go, not corn.
Remember producers alway plant based on last year's prices. Last year's prices favor beans not corn.
