the closest land to sell by my house was last year - $9030 an acre
then research the badlands - and there is a plaque there that says how th original homesteaders used to take apart their horse drawn mowers, pack them up to the top of the "hills", put them back together and mow what was on top of the hill. Needless to say they didnt last long there

There were a few "tables" in the badlands where they did this. Basically a plateau with fertile soil and grass on top. There is one overlook in the main Badlands Natl park that pertains to this. Also, they did this on Sheep Mountain, which is south of Scenic. Its out of the way, but worth a look if you are visiting the Badlands. They build ramps off the side of the tables and would dump the hay down them. |
