That part of SD is very, very arid . . . . Unless you won the PowerBall, got the Cash ($406,000,000), not just the cash option after taxes, you'd only farm for a couple years and be bankrupt . . . . It is not productive farm (crop) land . . . . . . . . . Possible ranching, but that's another ball game of hit and miss. Kind'da the same reasons, Midwestern, eastern farmers hear about all the cheap land in MO. It don't pan out like the farmland in the eastern Midwest or northern Midwest . . . most go home broke.
