SESD | I guess we may be on different pages. If I have 100k to spend at the end of the year, do I not pay tax on that in 2017 if I don't spend it on something deductible? If I have something better to spend the 100 on, I follow. If I don't have the 100, I follow. If you get in the rotation of buying a year ahead, you aren't really deferring IMO because you always buy next years seed by the end of the previous year. Also, if you have the money, you are giving yourself a cushion by buying ahead in case of a poor year.
I guess I'd also like to see the actual numbers on a seed order placed early for all the discounts as opposed to the same order placed sometime later in the new year. Sure, we can talk different varieties to save money, but if a guy wants to plant certain varieties, are we saying that he could still buy that seed cheaper closer to planting?
