1. The degree is hopefully not JUST a piece of paper. While employers look for a degree as a signal that you had the ability, work ethic and ambition to complete college, the school work should also equip you with a skillset that will make you a more marketable employee and help you throughout your life. The best thing you could do is to research, either online or asking different individuals (which is what you’re doing on this thread) and figure out what degree is in demand and would best suit your skillset and interests. Then find a good college. Acquire skills that pay well.
2. Get out of debt! Do whatever you can to get out of your vehicle loan, either sell the truck and get a cheaper one or pick up more hours and pay it off.
3. Really, really try to come up with a plan to get through school without debt. That would be the best. If that is not an option… finance 50% of the tuition cost AT MOST and pay for living and half of the tuition out of pocket by working. That much debt ($120,000) will definitely not help you attain your goal of farming. ABSOLUTELY do not go into debt attaining a degree that you think is just a piece of paper. Be able to specifically state your purpose of getting a degree.
4. Read. Read non-fiction books. Read autobiographies on successful people.
5. Check out Kahn Academy. It’s a free site to improve your math skills.

The beginning of your post is riddled with different excuses. Stop making excuses. At the end of the day, you are the only person who will be able to attain your goals. You have the biggest impact on your outcomes. You can either figure out a plan and work hard, or be blogging about how you can’t buy farmland 30 years from now and listing excuses as to why it never happened.
