Freeburg IL | You don't sound thrilled to be in school. College isn't for everyone. If you would be happier going to work at 18, don't underestimate time value. If you go to work a 40 hour job at 18 for $15 per hour, thats $31,200 per year times 4 years that you would be in school not earning that, so $124,800. Now consider that you didn't spent $120,000 on school. After 4 years you are $244,800 ahead of if you stayed in college. Lets say you come out of college making $50,000 per year (good luck). It will take you 13 years to break even so to speak. I'm in no way discouraging college, just pointing out the value of your time. | |
