Sorry to hear that your organic transition started so poorly.

I think your analysis is pretty good.

1 bushel of rye/acre can work but ONLY if you can get the rye planted early and have enough fertility to support good tillering.

We drilled our triticale at 80 lbs/a in late September.

The beans were drilled on 7.5" at a target rate of 220k.
