That rye can also inhibit growth of other things.......like your bean crop.
NW OH guys finding that out the hard way this year. Very dry conditions following the very wet spring have left rye beans looking bad.
Cover crops are not special. Thank god I had very few acres of this to deal with. There will be very few planted here this fall.
