Michigan | I'm very thankful for the opportunity to farm this land. The previous renter was a dairy farmer. The nice thing about Dairy is ample amounts of manure were applied to the land on a regular basis and the crops he grew were beneficial in keeping the organic matter high. ( COC, alfalfa). But the crops raised were for feed, so the planting dates were not a big deal, unlike myself where all the crops I raise go to the elevator.( corn,wheat,dry edibles) Tile allows me earlier planting dates and more timely harvest. It's pretty much a MUST have.
