NW Iowa. / SW Arizona | I know how you feel Mike I raised my own hogs plus had guys finish for me for over lot of years. After 38 years of doing so I quite having hogs fed for me, owning my own hogs and started custom feeding for somebody else but I have somebody else doing my chores now. I really like not having to do the daily chores anymore. I should've done this years ago. I don't miss the buying, marketing, feeding and treating sick hogs anymore. Someday I will sell my finisher but not right now, I enjoy that monthly check I get plus all the manure I get out of my barns. It's not bad money when you have no building payments to make. | |
