I wish I had some words of encouragement for you but I don't see a lot of profit in hogs for the next few years.


Honestly, I don't think were even close to the bottom yet as the real expansion pigs haven't hit the market yet.    So far were only dealing with the effects of the "over breeding" from trying to overcome PED.

Lots of buildings are still being built for sows that have just started farrowing.


When the real expansion pigs come to market I expect lots of red ink.




If a guy is thinking about getting out in the next few years I think sooner would be better than later.
