Croswell, Michigan | 1998 was the beginning of the end for me. I had contracts that saved me from 8-14 cent hogs but still cost me some money. Last pigs left the farm in 2003. For a while I didn't know what we would do without pigs, but things worked out better than imagined. I wouldn't go back to pigs if they pooped gold nuggets. I am darn glad 1998 didn't come 5 years later and I almost wish it had come 5 years earlier.
