I sure hate to see it come to what it has come to.
I do think in certain areas there will be markets for hogs that are bought from a known source.
I'm not in one of those areas though. Population is steady leaving this area and it won't be coming back.

My granddaddys barn was 80 sows split in two groups, each farrowing twice a year.
June 1, sept 1, dec 1 and March one.
He kept them to 225 then toward the end (he was forced out but a neighborhood that built after he was there) 250lbs.
They might have even been gone before I was 5, could have been 3 or 4 but I remember them.
My Mama did a lot for him, that's why I was always there.
I'll always have a spot in my heart for hogs.
