NC IA		I'd personally not take a 401k loan - on top of taking out tax-free funds and paying back into the plan with after tax dollars, and then being taxed on it again some day when you retire/withdrawal them - the other downside is once you take the loan they start taking money out of your paycheck to make your loan payments, so your take home pay is now less, which starts putting your more behind.

I'd avoid it unless absolutely needed.
