NW IL | Borrow the money for the tile from the bank and borrow some extra and invest it in stocks also. Swap the loan around so it looks like the the money borrowed for buying more stock also went into the farm. You probably do not want to hear this advice but everyone is telling you the right answer. Do not take money out of your 401K. Just google Berkshire Hathaway or look at just buying the S&P index and keep it. Look at the long term trends and forget about guessing short term moves. You will be money ahead. Reason for swapping the loan around is to keep the interest deductible on your farm return, not as an investment expense. | |
