I always have a fan or milkhouse heater going when I'm sleeping. The CPAP doesn't make hardly any noise once I get the mask fitted to my face. I have to have some background noise to drown out the ticking my mechanical heart valves make, which sounds like a cheap wind-up alarm clock in my head all the time. I have something like Edgar Allen Poe's tell-tale heart LOL!
