SW Iowa | the thing that is nice about using storage to sell physical into the ralleys, rather than paper and commit to delivering bushels not yet harvested, is it is real, and no worries about weather, breakdowns, whatever...But, there is always a chance the physical can go out of condition if you don't air it, or a tornado can hit and scatter the physical for miles, so, it is not completely worry free. But I like bins too, and it is nice to take 3 or 4 loads in and spot sell on the market for some cash to run on. Just dribble it out as cash needs arise...Keeps em guessing at the other end just where the bottom of those bins is. | |
