Ontario's middle east | I may have misinterpreted what you were trying to say, but I stand by what I said. Yes, I am one of the swashbuckling merchandisers on here and that gives me different perspective, but I also wear the producers hat on 1500 ac corn and soy. That gives me a someone unique view of the world of producer price risk and the world of cash trading, where grain has no price. I buy grain every day in all sorts of delivery periods. We can't make guys sell grain. I think we have done a reasonable job of suggesting when they should do some of that, but "far from perfect". If you think its possible for me to forward buy 2 years of grain, you have no concept of how basis trading works. I try to share some perspective on that world here, so my producers can make more informed decisions....... it's up to you whether you want to accept it or not. | |
