Subject: Too many Christmas gifts

South Dakota
I am really starting to get frustrated with gift giving. I have never been a big fan of gifts for birthday, Christmas etc, but now that our kids are getting a little older it is like a game of who can buy the most for them. Our children are 7 years old (twins) without many grand children on either side. The whole concept of so and so got 2 presents so the other has to get two as well just seems crazy to me. Or the other side, I spent this amount for one so I have to spend that amount on the other. I am curious what others do for gift giving. My wife and I usually get them a gift from Santa and then maybe some things for their stockings like books, socks, clothes. Stuff they will use. How do you make Christmas simple the way it is supposed to be? I will end my rant now. Thanks!
